It has gained its name because there is holy water in this temple. The main theme of Holy Water Temple is Taoism. Owing to the temple’s reputation, many tourists come here just to get a bottle of holy water and one leaf of Ginkgo, in the hope that these things would bless their families. Holy Water Temple being as one of the birthplace of Quanzhen Sect, one of the seven Quanzhen sons-Wang Yuyang practiced Taoism once here and was the ancestor of Holy Water Temple.
